ENGINE: 1.3 8v MH code, graphite painted block and 4 speed gearbox, Knecht/ Mann airfilter top tins, one drilled for pre-’66 VW hubcap (bonnet up use only) silver painted mounts, inlet manifold and alternator, gloss black front mount and starter, lower pulley and inlet support bar. Sand-blasted alloy rocker cover, with polished ribs and emblem, chromed fixing bolts, 24k gold plated 1976 oil cap. Stainless overbraided fuel line and billet filter. Stainless dome bolts used. Upper cam belt cover removed, custom stainless waterpipe from waterpump. Custom stainless radiator pipes and polished brass Escort mk2 radiator, Kenlowe 9” fan hidden behind grille, standard Golf radiator support bar removed, front engine support painted in graphite metalflake with nickel cadmium plated bolts. Custom stainless heat shield/ exhaust heat riser with aluminium pipe to airfilter. Thermo-tec Cool It copper wrapped exhaust manifold. Stainless coil cover and clamp, polished distributor with stainless fixings, smoked clear dizzy cap, Accel aftermarket Harley Davidson 5mm plug leads routed through brass tube guides.

CHASSIS: Winter wheels:VW Golf 5j 13” 4x100mm steel, ET38 wheels, painted graphite, drilled with stainless fixings and chromed Porsche 356B “nipple” hubcaps, stainless beauty rings, CustomChrome motorcycle valve caps, 145 (front) & 175 (rear) Pirelli radial tyres. Summer wheels: VW Golf 5.5j 13” 4x100mm steel, ET38 wheels, painted ivory, drilled with stainless fixings and triple chromed KDF Wagen-style swastika hubcaps, stainless beauty rings, CustomChrome motorcycle valve caps, 5.20 Firestone 2”whitewall crossply tyres. FK coilover suspension. Satin black subframe, wishbones and driveshafts. Graphite painted brake servo, custom copper brakelines.

OUTSIDE: 1986 VW Golf 3 door, non-sunroof, fully repainted in Skoda Cinnamon Brown. Standard euro Golf CL small bumpers with chrome mouldings, CL 7 slat chrome edged front grille with chrome emblem. Lower front valance trimmed and smoothed, small CL spoiler deleted and all fixing holes. Side repeaters deleted, Hella stainless aerial in front wing. Wheelarches rolled for clearance all round. Tooled-edge English saddle leather mudflaps with brass and stainless fixings. Polished Porsche 944 Turbo doorhandles with Porsche locking barrels, keys and seals. Chromed kit car/ beach buggy light buckets with P700- Lucas type H4 lamp units with side lights, French yellow H4 bulbs, aftermarket indicator units with side lights, modified to use Golf Driver white lenses. Chromed bonnet latches, catch, hinges and fixings and bonnet stay. Chromed wiper arms, stainless wiper blades and bolts. Golf GL windscreen, GL 3 door window seals, new quarterlights, South African-spec clear tailgate glass (no heating element), Golf GL rubber with Beetle chrome inserts. Mirrors removed. Engraved plaque with tyre pressures fixed to fuel flap. New seals and gaskets used throughout. Aftermarket M3-style red and white rear clusters. Tailgate smoothed with polished VW Karmann Ghia numberplate light unit with deluxe trim. Citroen Traction Avant enameled numberplate base with Bluemels-type raised riveted letters, front full width UK standard Bluemels type. Exhaust cut-out and rear tow eye removed, TDI-style twin downturned stainless Powerflow exhaust. Partially smoothed bay with smoothed turrets, battery, washer bottle and header tank, all lugs and fixings removed. Side spats removed, with recesses filled and lower swage extended, side rubbing strips removed. VW pre-’73 Type 2 “Volkswagen” script badge on smoothed rear panel.

INSIDE: Full retrim in mushroom vinyl and tweed, seats, headlining, rear seat back, boot area side panels and tailgate panel and doorcards, fixed with chromed screws. Billet one-off winder handles, EMPI lock pulls, chromed door release handles, leather trimmed inner door pulls, one-off wicker door pockets, under-dash tray and rear parcel shelf. Tan seat belts. Mushroom trimmed small central console, standard CL rubber gaiter and billet one-off gearknob with copper top. Standard CL brown carpets with heel pad, tunnel pad and wheelarch pad in handstitched chestnut English saddle leather. Headlining cut and shut using 2 standard headlings, with sunvisors, recesses and interior rear view mirror removed. Custom adaptor, polished boss and Flat 4 banjo steering wheel with St.Christopher horn push. Engine-turned custom dash inserts with VW Type 2 switches and pre-’66 ivory knobs. Old French car dash-mounted mirror and aged Philips radio and standard Golf heater control in ivory. New VW pedal rubbers, Porsche ski lift pass lanyard and 924 keys, 924 crested glovebox catch. Chromed courtesy light switches with 24k gold plated fixing screws, new seals and gaskets, nickel cadmium plated checkstraps. Chromed door latches, striker pins, door handle fixings.
